VolSys: import your report into the Journal and understand timestamps

Export your trading history

  1. Open VolSys desktop and select Trading → Report operatività (trading activity report).
  2. Choose the broker and account at the top left.
  3. Open Impostazioni (settings) at the top right and choose the period.
  4. Select Genera report (generate report), then Esporta CSV (export CSV), and save the file.

Timestamps in the VolSys report

The VolSys export does not contain entry and exit times. In the Journal, trades on the same date are spaced one second apart to preserve their order in the list. These are not actual execution times and should not be used to analyse trading by hour.

Import the file into the Journal

  1. Open the Journal, go to Storici (track records) and select Crea un nuovo storico (create a new track record). If you already have a manual track record, open it for editing and go to step 3.
  2. Set Nome (name), Saldo Iniziale (initial balance) and Valuta (currency). Choose a Tags Template if you want to use one. Leave Connetti Account in Tempo Reale (connect a live account) off and select Crea Storico (create track record).
  3. Open the track record for editing. Under Modifica lo storico (edit track record), select Importa da file (import from file) and choose VolSys.
  4. Drag the exported file into the upload area or select Seleziona file (select file). The same panel contains the provider’s written instructions and video.
